Sea polyphenols are different from polyphenols that are found in terrestrial plants (for example resveratrol, flavonoids and Gingko biloba extracts). Terrestrial and marine polyphenols belong to the same family of substances, but their chemical structures and characteristics are different, such that sea polyphenols have unique effects and potency. Sea polyphenols can help get rid of harmful molecules from the body (ROS), as well as boost the natural activities of cells. Seanol® contains various polyphenols, some that dissolve in water (hydrophilic), and some that dissolve in oils and fats (lipophilic).
